CHALLENGE
Brad Holbrook, partnering with Jordan Matter Photography, developed a unique and revolutionary method for introducing actors to casting directors. Utilizing high definition video, highly effective editing and a career-full of interview experience, Brad was able to create a video introduction that represents actors as they look, sound and, well... act. Headshots beware, the ActorIntro was born. Now it just needed a home online. Enter Design Brooklyn.
SOLUTION
An inviting, highly-accessible, highly-informative website.
We began the design process by diving into the goals for ActorIntro.com: an inviting, highly-accessible, highly-informative website that allows actors to display their ActorIntro videos and profile for all to see. With these goals and Brad's design preferences in mind, we created a design scheme -consistent with the existing ActorIntro logo- that would focus on 2 key aspects: an explanation of the service / sales pitch, and the ActorIntro videos.
Accessibility was a huge concern, so we created an encoding procedure to optimize video quality to be crystal clear but easily accessible from the vast majority of internet connections. We designed a custom media player to reflect the design elements of the site and added the ability for actors to post their videos on other web sites.
Design Brooklyn created a full spread magazine ad and an HTML email marketing campaign to introduce the service to the acting community. With accolades from casting directors and actors alike, the ActorIntro is quickly catching on as a new and innovative direction in casting.
