DanceNYC Mid-Season Symposium: A Success!
Dance/NYC held its Mid-Season Symposium February 5 and 6 for approximately 200 participants, despite the frigid cold and impending snow. Both Lori and Sydney attended, with Sydney serving on the panel "Latest Technologies Impacting the Dance Field"for Skybetter and Associates. Other special sessions included "The Changing Face of Dance Audiences", "Leadership, Start with the Why", "Concert vs. Commercial Dance: Can't we just get along?", and "Telling the Story of Dance: Defining the Value of our Art Form".
Look for notices on the next symposium on Dance/NYC's website, www.dancenyc.org. DB is beginning its reconstruction of the site this week so look for its launch in the near future!
