Festival Twenty Ten Opens Next Week!
"It's Speed-Dating for Dance Goers"
Dancing Perfectly Free 2009
This year's DanceNOW[NYC] fall festival (titled Festival Twenty Ten) will commence just one week from now, in the heart of Chelsea at Dance Theater Workshop. From September 8-11, 40 dance makers will be presented and take on DanceNOW's challenge: how to say more for less.
With just seven minutes to offer a new or repertory work that still offers a concise, clear, and complete artistic statement, these artists have their work cut out for them. The artist that best meets the DanceNOW Challenge will be awarded a week-long residency at Silo at Kirkland Farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, along with a $1000 residency stipend, and 20 hours of free rehearsal time at the new Gibney Dance Center!
Check out the Festival Twenty Ten buzz on Facebook, DanceNOW's new promo video, and at Jordan Matter Photography (Jordan photos as related to Festival Twenty Ten can be found on DanceNOW's website)
Purchase your tickets online at Dance Theater Workshop now, before the shows sell out (and they always do)!
