SkyNova15 Takes Off Tomorrow!

If you have 15 minutes or so to spare this week, we invite you to join a little online experiment Sydney Skybetter and Tim Cynova are attempting!

An online program the two started together called Sky/Nova:15 (video, live webchat and archived episodes are at ustream.tv/channel/skynova15 -- you can also watch it live on iPhones and Androids by downloading the free Ustream Viewer app) premieres tomorrow! It's a conversation centered around the arts, culture and technology with the occasional absurdity (Arts administrator trading cards? Astronaut ice cream and hover chairs as part of the arts-going experience in 75 years?).

The hope is to illustrate a few of the ways free and inexpensive technology can be combined to help us connect with and engage audiences (in our case probably both people), while also talking with some of the fascinating and fun people they know from the dance world.

The Twitter handle is @SkyNova15 (they'll announce guests and any changes to the schedule here) and you might also notice they started a tongue-in-cheek CafePress store based on things said on, or related to, the show (items are only marked up $.01), Who wouldn't want a "Sincère, Cologne for Arts Administrators" BBQ apron? The last bit of free technology is the indiegogo.com/skynova15 site for crowd-sourcing microgrants. That one they were just interested in trying out for their own knowledge -- please don't read this as a solicition of any kind.

Here are the "showtimes":
Wednesday, June 16, 5:15-5:30PM, "Afternoon Anarchy ...and Cocktails"
Thursday, June 17, 8:30-8:45AM, Morning Coffee
Thursday, June 17, 6:15-6:30PM, "Afternoon Anarchy ...and Cocktails"
Friday, June 18, 8:30-8:45AM, Morning Coffee
Friday, June 18, 5:30-5:45PM, "Afternoon Anarchy ...and Cocktails"
Saturday, June 19, 8:30-8:45AM, Morning Coffee (and maybe Mimosas)

Hope to see you soon in person or online!
