WAVE RISING SERIES Closes November 8
White Wave's 4th annual WAVE RISING SERIES is approaching its final week in its three week festival featuring 19 dance companies! The series furthers WHITE WAVE's commitment to find, nurture, and broaden horizons for extraordinary artists. Participating companies have been selected for their artistic growth over the course of other WHITE WAVE festivals and/or their visionary independent productions. The Wave Rising Series also proudly serves as a platform for companies who may not have the resources to produce a full production on their own in New York City. Roslyn Sulcas of the New York Times summed up the importance of our contemporary dance showcase in her review of our 2008 WAVE RISING SERIES' stating that WHITE WAVE presents a "showcase (of) a broad variety of work. Tickets are cheap and dancing plentiful; it's a good mix."
All shows presented during the Festival take place at WHITE WAVE's John Ryan Theater, located at 25 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
